The Egyptian Union for Educational Policies and Research participated in the CSW (Commission on the Status of Women) sessions in New York, which focused on reviewing the implementation of the Beijing Declaration three decades after its global adoption. The Union contributed to the drafting of Egypt’s national report, specifically authoring the education component.

As part of this engagement, Union members Wissam El-Sherif and Mahmoud Abdel-Zaher took part in the regional report discussions, where they presented recommendations to improve the situation of women in emergencies, with a particular emphasis on access to education
